I don’t love paying for subscriptions but sometimes the mental math of “how much does film cost?” and “do I really want to remember to bring my FujiFilm camera with me?” adds up.
I recently trialled the Leica iOS app and absolutely love it. I’ve tried a million and one film simulation apps in the past and usually get burned by my “lifetime” purchases getting converted to subscriptions, or apps that are parked by their developers, only to stop working with future iOS updates.
I’m hoping Leica keep this one going because I absolutely love the film and lens simulation. The depth of field isn’t always perfect, much like the iPhone portrait mode, but does a pretty great job.
